SPAIN TRIP ITINERARY
OCTOBER 16-20, 2025

This itinerary offers a cultural journey across Spain, starting with a city tour of Barcelona, including the Sagrada Família and a tapas tour.

In La Rioja, we will explore its wine region with tastings and a visit to the Marqués de Riscal vineyard. Logroño’s city tour includes visits to local landmarks and wine tastings. In Bilbao, explore the Guggenheim Museum and the city’s architecture. The trip continues with a city tour of León and Segovia, followed by a cooking class in Madrid, a city tour, and a flamenco show. A day trip to Toledo showcases its medieval architecture and UNESCO sites. The package includes accommodations, meals, wine tastings, cooking classes, and local guided tours.

Barcelona October 16

AM – City Tour

The Basílica Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família, otherwise known as Sagrada Família in Barcelona, Spain, is the world’s largest church designed in the art-nouveau style. It is the largest unfinished Catholic church in the world. Designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926)

PM – Tapas Tour

Tapas tour is combination of different places for tapas. These include everything from pincho bars, fish bars, traditional tapas… Throughout the tour, the guide will give you a history of the food you are consuming, as well as stopping off at a few other points to explain the history of the city in general.

Rioja October 17

La Rioja is a province and autonomous community in northern Spain with a renowned local wine industry. Logroño, capital of La Rioja, is a city rich in history and traditions that has been preserved since the Middle Ages.

The Camino de Santiago converted it into one of the most important towns on the route, leaving behind an interesting collection of monuments closely associated with this pilgrimage. Wine tour and tasting Herederos del Marqués de Riscal, S.A., better known as Marqués de Riscal.

The company was founded by Camilo Hurtado de Amézaga, 6th Marquess of Riscal in 1858 after inheriting a series of wineries in Elciego from his father. Bodegas de los Herederos del Marqués de Riscal has been voted Best Vineyard in the World and Best Vineyard in Europe. We will also get to see the Frank Gehry designed hotel on the site which is stunning.

Logrono October 18

Logrono City Tour and Wine Tasting

We will start our city tour with a local guide to view the following:

  • Paseo del Espolón (Logroño)
  • La Rioja Museum
  • Sta. Mª de La Redonda Procathedral
  • Santiago el Real Church, Santa María de Palacio Church
  • Church of San Bartolomé (Logroño)
  • Puente de Piedra bridg
  • Los Peregrinos Fountain

We will visit one of the best wineries in Lorogno for wine tasting and lunch.

Rioja October 19

Winery Visit and Tasting After breakfast we continue our journey towards Bilbao. We will stop in one of the best wineries in the Rioja region for wine tasting and light lunch.

Bilbao October 20 City tour of one of Spain’s most avant-garde cities We could also refer to this Basque Country destination as “The City of the Guggenheim”, for when this original museum was built in 1997, Bilbao was changed forever. There are so many interesting places to visit in Bilbao like ; Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, Santiago Cathedral, Deusto University, Begoña Basilica, Bilbao Town Hall, Mercado de la Ribera Market…. Our local guide will show you the best of the town!

We will finish this beautiful day with dinner in one of the Michelin restaurants.

Bilbao October 20

Leon/Segovia October 21

City Tour of León

León, a city on the Bernesga River in northwest Spain, is the capital of the Province of León. It’s home to many churches and cathedrals noted for their architecture and art. Among them is the Gothic 13th-century Catedral de Léon, with its towers and flying buttresses. Our local guide will show you the best of the city.

We continue our journey towards Segovia.

Close to Madrid, Segovia still retains the spirit of old Spanish cities.
These are some of the monuments valued by UNESCO to declare it a World Heritage site in 1985 – the Aqueduct, the Cathedral, the Alcázar.

AM – City Tour

After breakfast we will start with a city tour. Our local guide will show you the best sights of the town.
The city of Madrid is open and welcoming, modern yet traditional, stately yet popular, lively yet peaceful.
But more than anything else it is a cultural paradise.

PM – Flamenco Show

Flameco is a show full of passion; a live, musical, oral, gestural and social art. Catch a lively flamenco show at one of Madrid’s most renowned tablaos, Corral de la Morería, which is conveniently situated in the city’s Old Town. The tablao’s central location means you can easily continue your exploration of Madrid after the show.

Toledo October 24

City Tour of Toledo

After breakfast we will do an excursion in Toledo (NOT Toledo Ohio!)

The famous “city of three cultures” is very close to the country’s capital, scarcely 70 kilometres from Madrid and connected by high-speed train in a journey of around half an hour. It’s historic quarter –a UNESCO World Heritage Site– still preserves it’s original medieval layout, making it a fascinating place to visit. On a tour through its narrow, winding streets you will discover a series of incredible buildings, still very much alive both inside and out.

Alcázar fortress, The Toledo Cathedral,-also known as Catedral Primada, is a popular destination for visitors due to its impressive Medieval Gothic architecture and renowned artwork.

Located in the unique Casco Historico area, the Mosque of Christ of Light is one of Spain’s most prized examples of Moorish heritage. It is the oldest building in the historical center and a perfect destination for architecture enthusiasts and history buffs.
