Images of Newburyport

I'm really fortunate to live in a pretty little seaside city on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Newburyport is a place that people talk about taking a day trip to, yet I get to 'day trip' here every day. During any season Newburyport has views worth boasting about, but here are some of my favorites for late summer. There is boardwalk access right across the street from my house. No complacency

Not so much a post about travel today...more about a journey. I've never understood why January 1st is supposed to be the start of everything better and new.  We all have our own built-in New Year...it happens on our birthday. Today is my birthday...I guess this one marks what is possibly the mid-point of my life.  I can't even believe it as I write it.  How did this happen?? One Night in Boston

Living so close to Boston, it's unusual for me to actually spend the night there.  On Thursday, Dan and I used a free hotel night at the Sheraton Boston.  This is not your parent's hotel!  Sheraton recently renovated all of their properties and it shows.  From the free samples of Starbuck's Frappuccino in the lobby to the soothing brown and green decor in the room to the oversize photos of Boston landmarks throughout, it's a very comfortable place to spend the night.
