Mani-Pedi’s While You Wait

We all hate waiting.  Waiting in traffic, waiting in line at the grocery store, waiting for a connecting flight at an airport.  In this day of  'go, go, go!' it just feels like wasted time.  The trick is to turn the time into a treat and use it for something that you don't normally make time for.  In my real life I never get a manicure.  Mostly because I just don't have that block of time available to go to the salon, get the manicure and wait for it to dry.  Wait, did I say 'wait'?  Next time you have some downtime at an airport check out one of these terminal spas. Toronto Underground

Toronto, Ontario (or TO as the locals call it) is a fantastic, cosmopolitan city. It’s known as a city with unique shopping, diverse ethnic neighborhoods and a theater scene to rival Broadway. What you might not know is that there is almost an entire other city below the surface...enter the PATH. PATH comprises 27 km under the streets of Toronto. Accessible by PATH are retail establishments and food markets, services such as salons and dry cleaners, restaurants both sit-down and fast-food, the subway and train system, hotels and office buildings. Buffalo April 2009

It's a crime to visit or even pass through Buffalo, NY without a stop at the Anchor Bar;  home of the original Buffalo wings.  And they are better here than anywhere.  On a recent trip to Ontario, I flew into Buffalo and my sister, Caroline, picked me up.  We headed immediately to the Anchor Bar.  They weren't even open yet...we had to wait 5 minutes.  When they did open, they filled up quickly. Embarrassing as it was, we had to order both a white pizza and 50 wings, medium.  Not all for us!  We managed half of the pizza and 5 wings apiece, all the while explaining to the other lunch patrons that we were bringing [...]
